SHIKARPUR, Dec 4: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings, took out processions and held meetings across Sindh on Saturday to protest against Friday's kidnapping of two judges by bandits.

Members of the District Bar Association took out a procession here.

They also staged a demonstration outside the court of the district and sessions judge.

The lawyers demanded that the first additional sessions judge, Farooq Ahmed Channa, and the second additional sessions judge, Abdul Wahab Abbasi, be freed.

They announced a boycott of court proceedings for three days.

Members of the Khairpur District Bar Association also boycotted court proceedings and staged a protest sit-in outside the DBA office in protest against the kidnapping of the judges.

Similar protests were also observed by lawyers in Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze and other cities and towns of the interior of Sindh.
