HYDERABAD, Nov 8: Two people of Kandiaro taluka have accused the nazim of the union council, Jam Noorullah, of harassment and highhandedness.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club on Sunday, Mushtaq Sehto and Mumtaz Sehto, who are cousins, alleged that Allah Warayo Sehto wanted to take over their shops and a plot of land by force and had implicated them in a false murder case.

They said that on June 30, the Nazim had locked their shops and occupied the plot.

They alleged that the nazim's men had expelled their tenants from their land.

They claimed that they had approached MPA Manzoor Shah, Taluka Nazim Abrar Hussain Shah and influential landlords but they expressed their inability to do anything.

They said the nazim asked them to sell their plot to his cousin but they refused which infuriated him.

They said they registered an FIR at the Kandiaro police station on July 3 following which police personnel were deployed and the possession of their property was restored to them.

They said that the police were also afraid of the nazim and, therefore, they had sent telegrams to higher authorities.

They said that the DPO Sukkur, Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh, was conducting inquiry.

They said no one was prepared to give evidence against the nazim and his men.

They appealed to the authorities for protection.
