ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: A 24-member business delegation from India on Saturday urged both Pakistani and Indian governments to relax visa rules and provide multiple visas to visitors from both the countries.

Ravi Wig, leading an Indian trade delegation which called on Federal Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan, said the multiple visa facility would help increase bilateral trade volume.

He suggested that businessmen from both the countries should launch joint-ventures and establish long lasting technological partnership.

The commerce minister briefed the delegation about Pakistan's trade policy and said that bilateral trade could be improved by removing several existing obstacles.

He said that Pakistan had urged India to rationalize import tariff regime to provide a level-playing field to both the countries for the promotion of bilateral trade.

Commerce Secretary Tasneem Noorani was also present on the occasion.

The delegation invited both the commerce minister and the secretary to the golden jubilee celebrations of the Indian Punjab Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
