Aziz, Rahim discuss projects

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26: Chief Minister of Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz here on Tuesday at the Prime Minister's House here on Tuesday. The chief minister was accompanied by Krishan Chand Parwani.

The prime minister told the Sindh chief minister that minorities were as patriotic as anyone else and the government was committed to the minorities' welfare.

The chief minister discussed the development projects in progress in Thar and party affairs in Sindh.

They also discussed the water problem and the repair of canals and barrages. A comprehensive development project for Karachi also came under discussion.

Prime Minister Aziz said that the government was committed to develop the under-developed areas.

Earlier, Ghaus Bux Mahar, minister for narcotics control, met with the prime minister and informed him about the proceedings of the Paris Pact meeting on narcotics control, attended by him. He also discussed the political situation and matters pertaining to his department.-APP
