Arrangements for Altaf's India visit

KARACHI, Oct 24: Arrangements for the India visit of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief, Altaf Hussain, were reviewed at a meeting held at the party's international secretariat, said a press release received here on Sunday.

The meeting was presided over by acting convener Tariq Javed and other members of the MQM coordination committee and the secretariat.

Mr Hussain is to visit India to attend a two-day international conference being organized by the Hindustan Times in New Delhi.

Issues concerning peace and stability in South Asia, poverty alleviation, ties between India and neighbouring countries, with special reference to the promotion of India's political, social and economic relations with Pakistan, would be deliberated upon at the conference.
