SUKKUR, Oct 17: The Sindh National Front will part ways with the Pakistan Oppressed Nations' Movement if the nationalist alliance takes part in the movement to be launched by the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy on the issue of the president's uniform.

This was threatened by SNF vice-president Ameer Bux Bhutto and general secretary Gul Mohammad Jakhrani at a press conference here on Saturday.

They said that the issues of Sindh, including the Kalabagh dam and Greater Thal canal projects, were more important to them than the uniform issue. They announced that the SNF would launch a movement against the projects after Ramazan.

They said that the ARD, particularly the People's Party Parliamentarians, had maintained a silence on the issues. They said that the government had faile d to maintain law and order in the country especially in Sindh and pointed out that murder, kidnapping, robbery and other crimes were on the rise in the province. They held the provincial government responsible for the Sindh situation and demanded its resignation.
