MALAKAND: JUI names candidate

MALAKAND, Sept 25: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam has nominated Maulana Hamidullah Roghani as its candidate for the by-elections for NA 35 (Malakand) which fell vacant after the death of MNA Maulana Attaur Rehman of the Jamaat-i-Islami a few days ago.

A decision to this effect was taken by the JUI's district executive committee, which met at Jolgarah. The meeting was attended by Hafiz Habibul Hasan, Maulana Shamsul Haq, Haji Mohibullah, Qazi Habibul Haq.

Talking to newsmen, the JUI-nominated candidate, Maulana Hamidullah Roghani expressed the hope that the MMA would support his candidature.

He said that the JUI has made efforts for the development of Malakand and expressed the hope that people would support him in the elections.-APP
