KARACHI, Sept 4: A demonstration was held outside the press club here on Saturday against anti-veil (Hijab) laws enforced by certain Western governments.
Participants of the demonstration, organized by the Women Commission, expressed solidarity with the Muslim women in Europe observing veil.
Among the participants were MNA Ayesha Munawar of MMA, Ummatur Raqeeb, Joint Secretary of Jamaat-i-Islami, Atia Nisar, Convener of the Women Commission, Sindh and Rabia Alam of JI. Women teachers, lawyers, doctors, students and workers took part in the demonstration in a large number.-PPI
