KHAAR (Bajaur Agency), Aug 28: Six women, three of the same family, were killed and two seriously injured when they were hit by landslide in a village here on Saturday.

Locals of the village Badan in tehsil Mamond said the women were digging mud from a hillock when its upper portion caved in burying them all.

Villagers rushed to the site to rescue the women but after one hour of hard labour could only retrieve bodies of four women. Four other women were seriously wounded and rushed to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Khaar where two of them died of their wounds. Three of the six deceased belonged to the same family - a woman and her two daughters-in-law.
