3 US soldiers killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Aug 21: Three US soldiers were killed and five wounded in separate attacks in and near Baghdad in the last 24 hours, the US military said on Saturday.

The military said guerillas fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a military vehicle in southern Baghdad on Saturday, killing one soldier and wounding two others.

In a separate attack, two soldiers were killed and three wounded on Friday by a roadside bomb near Samarra, 100kms north of Baghdad.-Reuters
