QUETTA, Aug 21: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel arrested three African nationals and seized 38kg heroin on Saturday.

Sources said that acting on a tip-off the ANF personnel raided the Quetta bus-stand and arrested three Africans from a Taftan-bound coach. The raiding team also seized the heroin concealed in cosmetics packing and milk powder cans.

POWER SUPPLY SUSPENDED: Electricity supply from Iran to Panjgur, Turbat, Pasni, Jewani and other coastal areas of Makran was suspended on Friday night due to a technical fault.

A Quetta Electricity Supply Company spokesman said on Saturday that Qesco had made alternative arrangements on emergency basis to supply power to Gwadar and Pasni from the Pasni standby thermal powerhouse.

The spokesman said electricity supply to Turbat and Panjgur had been restored on Saturday afternoon.

Jewani was provided electricity through a small diesel powerhouse, the spokesman said.
