LAHORE, Aug 21: The work on the estimated multi-million modern theme park near the Qadhafi Stadium will start in a month or two. This was decided at a meeting held to review the progress on the park and other recreation projects in the province here on Saturday.

The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and attended by the chief secretary and other senior officials.

The chief minister said the theme park in Lahore would be constructed over 92 kanals of land, having a hi-tech cinema house, food court, library and a museum.

He said the screen of the cinema would be 90-foot high, showing world level documentary films on culture, science and technology, and modern sciences.

He said the park would provide quality recreation to people in Lahore and other cities. It would also have other related facilities.

The chief minister said the province was also launching many other projects to provide recreational facilities to the people.

It was also improving the condition of the existing parks, he concluded.
