SRINAGAR, May 29: A grenade hurled at the residence of a top Kashmiri leader on Saturday after shooting and critically wounding one of his relatives earlier in the day, police said.
No one was injured in the explosion at the house of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on the outskirts of Srinagar, police said.
The blast came hours after Kashmiri fighters opened fire on Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed, a close relative of Farooq, in Srinagar as he emerged from a mosque.
"His condition is critical," a doctor at Srinagar's main hospital said.-AFP
