TOBA TEK SINGH, May 29: On the orders of the district and sessions court, Rajana police registered a case on Saturday against 10 policemen for torturing two women.

Allah Yar of Chak 260-GB in his petition alleged that ASI Ashiq Ali, constables Noor Jamal, Muhammad Rafiq, Manzoor Ahmad, Muzaffar Cheema and five unidentified police officials raided his house on the night of April 20 and tortured his wife and daughter.

The case against the policemen has been registered under Sections 337, 354, 452, 148 and 149 of PPC with no arrests.

FIR LODGED: Sadar police registered a car-snatching case on Saturday against four people four months after the incident.

According to the police report, a car (FDR-6968) was hired from Faisalabad for Toba Tek Singh by Tahir Imran and Tayyab Imran of Chak 306-GB and Naeem and Amer of Mansoorabad.

On reaching near Chohla Canal Bridge, they threw driver Asghar out of the car and escaped.

BIKE SNATCHED: Some bandits took away an unregistered motorcycle on Friday night from two men near Chak 749-GB.

The dacoits intercepted Azam and Mansha when they were returning from a village fair and took away the vehicle at gunpoint.
