BANNU, May 29: Students of the only nursing school in the district have been facing numerous problems owing to lack of facilities in the institution.

A source at the school said the library was without books and there was no watchman even for the hostel.

Students said non-availability of teachers was the main problem. They have to depend on the notes prepared by old students.

They said there was neither hostel house-keeper nor gardener. The sweeper also did not take interest in his duty, due to which garbage could be seen scattered all over the place.

School Principal Mrs Suria Masih told this reporter that she worked as principal, teacher and housekeeper simultaneously.

She said reminders for provision of books and teachers had been sent to the authorities concerned time and again, but to no avail.

Shortage of rooms at the hostel is another problem needing attention of the authorities concerned.
