QUETTA, May 15: Seven persons of a family, including three brothers and two women of Magsi tribe, were gunned down by a group of armed men in Tambo area of Nasirabad district on Saturday.

The deceased included wife and a five-year-old son of the main accused, Lal Baksh, official sources said.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday.

"All the persons died instantaneously," hospital sources in Dera Murad Jamali said.

They had sustained multiple bullet injuries.

According to reports, Lal Bakhsh Magsi barged into the house of his relative, Allah Bakhsh, in village Mubarik Umrani in Tambo tehsil along with his three accomplices.

They opened indiscriminate fire with automatic weapons on the inmates who were asleep in two rooms.

The assailants fled after the grisly incident.

The local authorities and levies brought the bodies to Civil Hospital Dera Murad Jamali.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Ghafoor, Gul Bahar, Abdul Nabi, Hadi Bakhsh, Shahzad, Nehalan and Saduri Bibi.

The levies have arrested two of the accused while a contingent has been dispatched to Sindh to arrest Lal Bakhsh.

Reuters adds: "Baksh was angry that his mother and other family members agreed to marry one of his brothers Haji Baksh with a girl outside the family," local administration official, Khalid Hanif, said.
