KHUZDAR, May 15: An anti-terrorism court headed by judge Mohammad Yousuf Khosa awarded death sentences to Naib Nazim of Khuzdar Union Council Mir Saeed Ahmed Zehri and his accomplices - Saifullah , Bashir Ahmed and Mohammad Bashir in absentia in a murder case.

The court also awarded them an additional sentence of five years' rigorous imprisonment each for deliberately avoiding appearance in the court despite several notices. The court also ordered confiscation of their properties.

The convict had killed Mohammad Rahim at Chandni Chowk, Khuzdar, on Dec 14, 2003, by opening fire on him with Kalashnikovs.-APP
