LAHORE, May 1: A three-member Indian team arrived here on Saturday for a week-long routine inspection of water reservoirs over the Pakistani rivers.

According to Indus Basin Water Treaty Pakistan Commissioner Syed Jamaat Ali Shah, the team will conduct regular inspections in accordance with the treaty.

The team comprises Indian Commissioner of the treaty, Dr D K Mehta, and his two advisers, Naresh Kumar and Narindra Kumar.

Mr Shah said they would leave for Peshawar on Sunday for inspecting water reservoirs, including Tarbela and Warsak dams and hydro-electric installations at Khanpur and Malakand.

"It is a routine inspection during which both the sides will not discuss the Baglihar Hydropower Project," he said.
