Wajahatullah to lead Peshawar

PESHAWAR, March 13: Test discarded Wajahatullah Wasti will lead Peshawar team against Faisalabad in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Grade-I match to be played at Faisalabad Cricket Stadium from March 14.

This was stated by the secretary of Peshawar District Cricket Association (PDCA) Abdul Aziz Khan on Saturday on the team departure to Faisalabad. He said, in order to provide opportunities to other players, the association has decided to include Shoaib Khan and Jahangir Khan in the side.

Peshawar defeated Lahore in both one-day and four-day and secured victory against Rawalpindi in the one-day and the four-day match ended in a draw.

Team: Wajahatullah Wasti (captain), Shoaib Khan, Riffat Ullah, Jehangir, Aftab Khan, Muhammad Fayyaz, Jan Nisar Khan, Atif (wicketkeeper), Arshad Khan, Fazale Akbar, Umer Gul, and Muhammad Siddiq.
