KARACHI, March 13: Karachiites on Saturday provedsecurity fears wrong as the cricket game between Pakistan and India remained trouble-free.

Not only the flag-waving local crowd cheered Pakistan team they also enjoyed the efforts of the Indian side and clapped for Rahul Dravid as a gesture of goodwill after he was bowled at 99.

Although the day ended without seeing any major security problem in and around the National Stadium, police failed to check miscreants from taking flags of a political ethnic party.

At Gate No 8, sub-inspector Ghulam Ali stopped people from taking food items packed in soft packets, although PCB had announced fans would be allowed to do so.

Security was as tight as it was a day earlier. A police helicopter hovered above the venue, while mounted police backed by mobiles, patrolled the vicinity.
