GWADAR, March 6: Vice-Chief of Army Staff Gen Muhammad Yusaf Khan has commended the efforts of all ranks of the Frontier Works Organization, who completed Pasni-Gwadar project ahead of the scheduled completion time while ensuring requisite standards.

Portions of the coastal highway, given to the FWO, were the most difficult and challenging, he added.

On his arrival at Gwadar, the VCOAS was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing projects by the director-general FWO.

Gen Muhammad Yusaf Khan emphasized the significance of the coastal highway for the national economy besides socio-economic uplift of the area and the people.

The Makran Coastal Highway will also serve as the main lateral artery for onshore support to fishing ports of Ormara, Pasni and Gwadar.
