TOBA TEK SINGH, March 6: Riaz Fatyana has said that the district government was ignoring Kamalia and development projects were being spent on other areas on personal favours.

The PML-Q MNA from Kamalia said at a press conference here on Saturday that he had come to know that the proposed projects of a boat bridge on Kamalia-Harappa road on the river Ravi and setting up of a polytechnic institute have been given to some other city instead of Kamalia.

He criticized the district government and devolution system and said problems have been created for the masses due to ill-planned system which was implemented hurriedly.

He said the pace of work on development projects was also slow due to confusion over jurisdiction.

He claimed that gas would be provided to Kamalia before June, 2005.
