NEW DELHI, Feb 28: Indian Railways has decided to allow only 35kg of luggage per passenger travelling to Pakistan for the India, Pakistan cricket series.

"For Samjhota Express that runs between Atari and Wagah, the luggage per passenger has been restricted to 35kg only and no excess luggage will be permissible because of security constraints," official sources have been quoted as saying on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Pakistan on Friday proposed plying of special buses between Amritsar and Lahore to ferry cricket fans for matches between India and Pakistan.

It was also proposed to set up a special visa camp of the Pakistan high commission in Amritsar to facilitate visa issuance.

The proposal has been delivered by the high commission to the Indian ministry of external affairs here.

The high commission will issue over 8,000 visas to cricket lovers from India to visit Pakistan for matches.

Samjhota Express is expected to ferry a huge traffic in view of the liberal visa regime by Pakistan.-APP
