13 Pakistanis arrested in Greece

KOMOTINI, Feb 28: Greek police on Saturday detained 15 illegal immigrants crossing into Greece from Turkey and arrested three suspected human traffickers who were transporting them to Athens.

The three suspects, two Greeks and a Turk, were stopped near the Greek village of Makri, some 70km from Turkey and 950km northeast of Athens, while driving separate trucks in which the immigrants were riding, police said.

The 13 Pakistanis and two Nepalese allegedly paid a total of 5,000 euros to be driven to Athens.-AFP
