KARACHI, Feb 21: Thousands of faithful from every nook and corner of Sindh on Friday evening assembled at the Sehra-i-Madina, Toll Plaza (near Baqai Medical College) on Super Highway to attend the three-day mass congregation under the aegis of the Dawat-i-Islami.

Ulema, Mashaikh and scholars would deliver sermons and make speeches to enlighten the faithful on a true spirit of Islam, teachings of the holy Quran and Hadiths and the Islamic lifestyle. Hamd-o-Naat, sermons, lectures, speeches, Salat-o-Salam, etc., would continue almost round the clock during the Ijtema.

At 10am on Sunday, the Amir of Ahl-i-Sunnah Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Quaderi would deliver special address which would be followed by Doha-i-Khusoosi (special prayers).

A large number of preachers' teams, comprising hundreds of faithful, would leave for different parts of the province on Tableeghi missions at the end of the Ijtema on Sunday evening.
