HYDERABAD, Feb 21: The Sindhi Adabi Board secretary has relieved 25 employees of the board of their duties, sources said on Saturday.
The action was taken in compliance with a notification of the Sindh education and literacy department of Feb 14, sources said.The employees would be provided services on suitable posts in their districts of domicile, sources said.
Their services were placed at the disposal of the education EDOs of their respective districts: Seventeen employees were directed to report to the EDO of Hyderabad; one each to the EDOs of Badin, Shikarpur and Naushahro Feroze, three to the EDO of Dadu and two to the EDO of Sanghar, sources said.
The board of governors of the Sindhi Adabi Board, at its last meeting presided over by Sindh Education Minister Irfanullah Marwat, had decided to transfer surplus staff to the education department to relieve the board of financial pressure.
WORKSHOP: A five-day faculty development workshop on "Education and Evaluation Methodologies" concluded here on Friday.
The department of medical education, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, organised and the Higher Education Commission funded the workshop.
Thirty-four faculty members participated in the workshop which was based on experiential learning and included deliberations upon curriculum development, teaching strategies and assessment tools.
