MANSEHRA, Feb 21: District Mansehra Nazim Sayed Ahmad Hussain Shah has imposed section 144 in the district area limits to maintain peace and tranquillity during Muharram.

He has imposed a ban on use of loudspeakers (except for the purpose of Azan/Friday sermons and announcements of funerals), wall-chalking, sectarian banners and posters creating sectarian disharmony in the limits of Mansehra district.

He has also prohibited the displaying, carrying/ brandishing movement of weapons by anybody. However, the officials of the law enforcement agencies would be exempted from this order.

Moreover, in another order the district Nazim has also prohibited pillion-riding on motorcycle within the revenue limits of Mansehra district.

These orders shall take immediate effect and shall remain enforce for a period of 10 days from the date of issuance of these orders.

Any persons contravening these orders shall render themselves liable to punishment under section 188 PPC.-APP
