HARIPUR: Pillion-riding banned

HARIPUR, Feb 21: The district government on Friday banned pillion riding, wall chalking, publication and distributionof provocative material to ensure smooth law and order during Muharram. The ban would remain imposed for 60 days.

The district coordination officer (DCO) established a crisis management cell to meet any eventuality and ensure uninterrupted supply of civic amenities to the public during the month. The cell would be manned by officials of Pesco, Works and Services department, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines, PTCL, Public Health Engineering and Tehsil Municipal administration.
