KOHAT, Feb 5: District Nazim Malik Asad has urged the Muslims to make collective and serious efforts for the solution of the long-standing Kashmir and Palestine issues according to the United Nations resolutions.

Speaking at a meeting organized here at the district council hall, KDA, on Thursday to express solidarity with Kashmiris, Malik Asad called upon the Indian government to give the people of Kashmiri their rights and stop killing innocent people there. He said the only solution to the Kashmir issue was the UN resolutions.

District Coordination Officer Haji Sarfaraz and his assistant Tariq Hayat, Khudadad Khan Masud and a large number of UC Nazims and councillors also attended the meeting.

Like other parts of the country, the Jamaat-i-Islami also took out a procession here to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren.

The procession started from Tehsil Gate and culminated at Shah Faisal Gate where local leaders addressed participants of the procession.

Syed Mutahir Shah, district JI chief, in his speech asked the government to involve Kashmiris in the ongoing dialogue with the Indian government.

Later children of the schools run by the JI formed a human chain from Shah Faisal Gate to the Martyrs Square.
