KARACHI: Kashmir Day rally today

KARACHI, Feb 4: The Kashmir Day will be observed in the city today to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

Various organizations have chalked out programmes for the day, including holding of rallies, processions, seminars and photo exhibitions to highlight the struggle of Kashmiris.

The main event of the day will be a walk, to be led by City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, to support the cause of Kashmiris, which will begin in the morning from the Sea View Apartments in Clifton.

The city government will also organize a rally at the Mazar-i-Quaid, which is scheduled to be addressed by city Nazim. Leaders of the All Parties Hurriat Conference, Pervez Ahmed Shah and Khadim Hussain Shah, will also speak to the rally.

A photo exhibition will also be organized at the Pakistan Arts Council in the afternoon, to highlight the sacrifices of Kashmiris for their cause.

The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal will hold a rally, to show solidarity with Kashmiris. The rally will start from Central Jail Chaurangi and terminate at Quaid's mausoleum. MMA leaders, including Syed Munawar Hasan, will speak to the rally.

Anjuman Talba-e-Islam will also hold a rally today, as a part of its "Kashmir Bachao" campaign. The rally will begin from Empress Market, Saddar.-APP
