Military chiefs hold meeting

RAWALPINDI, Jan 29: A special session of the Joint Chief of Staff Committee was held here on Thursday to discuss important matters related to defence and national security, a late night Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said.

President General Pervez Musharraf presided over the meeting, the ISPR said without giving any details. The meeting was attended by the chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Gen Mohammad Aziz Khan, Vice Chief of General Staff Gen Yusaf Khan, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Shahid Karimullah, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, Defence Secretary (retired) Lt-Gen Hamid Nawazand other senior government and military officials.
