KARACHI, Jan 10: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Saturday announced the results of the Primary Teaching Certificate (P. T.C) and the Certificate of Teaching (C.T) annual examinations 2003.

In the P.T.C examinations, Saba Zehra d/o Muhammad Raza Zaidi, Roll No. 50996, of the Govt Elementary College of Education, Shah Faisal Colony, secured first position by obtaining 1138 marks. Shabana Kausar d/o Hakim Ali Roll No. 50857, the of Govt Elementary College of Education Lyari, bagged second position by securing 1126 marks. Ismat Tanveer d/o Syed Tanveer Hussain Naqvi, Roll No. 50671, of the Govt Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad, secured third position by obtaining 1120 marks.

According to statistics of the result, some 1,240 male and female candidates registered themselves with BIEK, of which 1,192 appeared in the exam and 709 were declared successful with 63.25 pass percentage.

Only one candidate managed to pass the exam in A-1 grade, 62 in A grade, 366 in B grade, 278 in C grade and two candidates were declared successful in D grade. The BIEK exam department withheld results of some 74 candidates.

In the C.T examinations, Mursaleen Sadaf d/o Abdul Ghaffar, Roll No. 53846, of the Govt Elementary College of Education, Shah Faisal Colony, secured first position by obtaining 1185 marks. Shamsa Naz d/o Raja Muhammad Mahzood Khan, Roll No. 53857, of the same college, bagged second position by securing 174 marks. Sadaf Naz d/o Muhammad Saeed, Roll No. 53785, of the Govt Elementary College of Education Lyari, clinched third position by obtaining 1128 marks.

About 947 candidates registered themselves with the BIEK exam department, of whom 912 appeared and 670 were declared successful with a pass percentage of 78.-PPI
