ISLAMABAD, April 25: The governments of Pakistan and Greece on Monday signed an agreement in an effort to further promote friendly relations and close cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, youth and sports during 2005-07.
The cultural exchange agreement was signed by Secretary for Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Jalil Abbas and Secretary- General of Greek Ministry of Cultural Affairs Christos Lachopoulos.
Through the agreement, both the countries agreed to extend cooperation in the fields of education and science by encouraging collaboration between universities of both the countries in the fields of archives and libraries.
Pakistan and Greece would also promote cooperation between their competent archeological services, besides assisting each other in restoration of cultural and historical heritage.
Meanwhile, the visiting Greek delegation also met Federal Minister for Sports and Culture Mohammad Ajmal Khan and discussed matters of mutual benefit.
