PAF triumph

KARACHI, April 3: Arshad struck a late winner to give PAF a close 3-2 victory over PTCL at All-Pakistan PTCL floodlight football at Dring Stadium, Bahawalpur on Sunday. According to details available here, PTCL went ahead in the 23rd minute through an angular shot by Nasarullah before Mohammad Shoaib equalised for PAF coming into action from 20 yards five minutes later.

The airmen moved ahead when Mohammad Saleem headed home following some assistance by Shoaib in the 36th minute.

The match was again put on an even keel after PTCL’s Tahir Karamat netted off a corner kick in the 58th minute. Arshad finally netted the match-winner in the 80th minute.

In another match, ten-man Pakistan Army outplayed Hazara Club Quetta 2-0.

After a barren first half, Omar Daraz opened the account for the soldiers in the 84th minute before getting yellow card twice. Substitute Mohammad Abid got the second three minutes before full time.
