Child mauled by dogs

KASUR, April 3: A child was mauled to death by stray dogs at Himatpura locality in Illahabad on Sunday. Reports said Abdul Saghir, 4, was playing along with his two brothers when three dogs attacked and mauled him. The child died on the spot.

Later, residents of the area protested against the local town committee which, they said, had failed to remove dogs.

KILLED: A labourer and his daughter were killed when the roof of their mud-house caved in here at Bhamba Kala village on Sunday.

According to reports, Muhammad Mansha, along with his daughter Sakina, 6, was sleeping when the roof caved in. Both of them died instantly.
