Lara, Tendulkar to lead teams

LONDON, March 27: Brian Lara will captain International XI and include Pakistani pacers Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammed Sami, Aussie ace spinner Shane Warne, Kiwis and South African skippers Stephen Fleming, Graeme Smith, Lankan master spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and Andy Flower against MCC XI in exhibition match at Lord’s on June 14 to raise funds for tsunami victims.

Sachin Tendulkar will lead MCC XI in the 50-over-a-side fixture, also featuring other biggest names in the world of cricket.

Three other Indian players — Rahul Dravid, Virender

Sehwag and Anil Kumble — have also been invited to join MCC side.

Graeme Gooch will be coach for International XI while Mike Gatting will manage MCC XI.
