Three FC men hurt in rocket attack

QUETTA, March 26: Three soldiers of the Frontier Corps were seriously injured in a rocket attack in Barkhan area of Balochistan, some 350km southeast of here, on Friday evening. “ Yes, three FC men wounded in a rocket attack,” Lt-Col Rizwan Malik of the Frontier Corps confirmed and added that the injured had been sent to Dear Ghazi Khan. According to reports, unknown people fired at least 10 rockets from the mountains area, targeting the Frontier Corps fort on outskirts of Barkhan township. However, most of the rockets landed and exploded in the open while one blasted close to the playground and injured three FC men playing in the ground. Sources said that unknown people used 107 MM rockets for attacking the FC fort.

The personnel of Frontier Corps took position and returned fire.

They fired rockets and mortar shells at the position of other side. The injured were identified as Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Saeed and Naimatullah.

Meanwhile, an unknown person, Azad Khan, claiming to be a spokesmen for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), called the Quetta Press Club from an unknown place and took the responsibility of the attack.
