KARACHI, March 26: Five ships including Sea Conqueror carrying 36,550 tons of sugar are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where six ships, Wan Hai-267, Harmony to load and unload containers, Efdom Junior to load rice, Sunniva to load ethanol, and Bow Puma, to offload palm oil were berthed after the departure of 10. The vessels, which departed included Iran Piroozi, Wan Hai-267, Y.M. Fortune, Wester Muehlen, Khalid, Anatres, Floriana, Bow Masstad, Anna-L, and Kenwood Park, while Thor Captain, Sibi and Badulu Valley are due to sail out on Sunday. Cargo handling at the wharves was relatively slow owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage as the total tonnage fell to 49,355 tons. The export cargo rose to 25,891 tons, while import tonnage fell to 23,464 tons as compared to Friday’s figures.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Bruce Park, to load 7,600 tons of ethanol, Johar, to offload 70,000 tons of crude oil, Bunga Kenari to unload containers and Sea Conqueror, with 36,550 tons of sugar.
The following ships are due on Monday: Shalamar, with 64,000 tons of crude oil, Corin Thaikos, Ever Gather and Sagamore, to unload and load containers.
