FAISALABAD, May 30: The Civil Lines police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two members of car and motorbike thieves with 10 vehicles.
On a tip-off, the team headed by SHO Abid Husain raided hideout and arrested gang chief Adeebur Rahman. The police claimed to have recovered nine motorbikes from various houses on the information by the arrested man.
During interrogation, the gang chief confessed to have organized the gang some seven years ago to meet his expenses. He said he was a proclaimed offender.
He confessed to have committed over 100 robberies and snatched over dozen vehicles in various parts of Faisalabad, Jhang ,Toba Tek Singh and other districts.
The police also arrested his accomplice Haq Nawaz on the charge of providing refuge to the gang chief.
Investigation is under way.
SEMINAR: Pakistan Cardiac Society, Faisalabad Chapter, Coordinator Dr Muhammad Javed Iqbal has said seminar and workshops will soon be arranged in the district to educate patients and general public regarding the protective measures.
In a statement here on Thursday, Dr Iqbal told this correspondent that the society would arrange programmes to keep people abreast of symptoms of the disease.
Renowned heart specialists would read out their papers during the workshops, he
said.

Talking to newsmen on Thursday, former PML MNAs— Rana Zahid Tauseef, Mian Abdul Mannan, Safdar Rahman and former MPAs— Rana Sanaullah Khan, Rana Muhammad Afzal and Khwaja Muhammad Islam claimed the event was non-political as activists had gathered to express unity against India.
They claimed the government, on the one hand, invited the political leaders for discussing national issues and on the other tightened noose around their necks.
The formerly PML regime had conceived a solid policy to resolve the longstanding Kashmir dispute, they claimed.
