QUETTA, March 23: Hundreds of workers of the four-party Baloch Alliance marched on the roads and streets of Nushki on Wednesday to protest against FC action in Dera Bugti and manhandling of Dr Hayee Baloch and other party leaders. The protesters, including women and children, carrying placards and banners, chanted anti-government slogans while taking round of the Nushki township. Later, they gathered at Mir Gul Khan Naseer Chowk where leaders addressed them.

They condemned the Dera Bugti operation and demanded that the government should stop the action and initiate a political dialogue.

DEMAND: Mir Hasil Bizenjo, secretary-general of the National Party (NP), has asked the government to expose the intelligence officials who have insulted Dr Hayee Baloch within a week otherwise the party would launch an agitation against the shameful act.

Speaking at a press conference held at the press club on Wednesday, he held the ISI responsible for manhandling the three leaders of the NP in Bolan area.

Mr Hasil alleged that government agencies first targeted Nawab Akbar Bugti’s residence on March 17 in which dozens of Bugti tribesmen were killed and on March 20 NP leader Hayee Baloch besides Dr Malik Baloch and Agha Irfan were beaten and their car was snatched by the attackers.
