KARACHI, March 22: Baloch nationalist organizations have condemned the “kidnapping and harassment” of their leaders in Bolan district, Balochistan.

The supporters of these organizations staged a joint rally in front of Karachi Press Club and protested against the incident that took place at Pinjra Pul near Mach in Bolan on Sunday night. Besides political activists, the rally was also participated by a large number of women.

The protestors alleged that the incident could be an attempt to eliminate National Party leaders after targeting Nawab Bugti. They urged the government to expose the elements involved in the incident. They said the government after failing to suppress the Baloch national movement was now resorting to target and eliminate their leaders.

The Baloch nationalist leaders resolved that they would not surrender their rights and struggle at any cost and continue it till they achieve their national objectives.

The rally was organized by the Jamhoori Watan Party, Balochistan National Party, Baloch Students Organization, National Party, Baloch Women Organization and Baloch Rights Committee.

The rally was addressed by the nationalist leaders Aslam Buledi, Salim Baloch, Yusuf Naskundi, Zahid Baloch and others.

Briefing the newsmen about the incident, a spokesman of the rally said that National Party leaders Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch, Dr Malik Baloch and Agha Irfan were on their way to Naseerabad to address a public meeting there. When they reached Pinjri Pull, 12 armed men took them hostage, tied their hands and feet with rope and took them five kilometres away from the site.

The kidnappers reportedly told the NP leaders that they had orders to kill them, but they did not do so. After five hours they disappeared from the scene, he added.
