PESHAWAR, March 20: Senator Asfandyar Wali Khan on Saturday administered oath to the newly-appointed members of the Organizing Committee of the Awami National Party (ANP), NWFP, following dissolution of the provincial chapter of the party. Former president of ANP, NWFP, and ex-provincial minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour has been appointed organizer, Mian Iftikhar Hussain organizing secretary and Baz Muhammad Khan deputy organizer.

Zain Mohammad Kaka, Naik Amal Khan and Naveed have been appointed members of the Organizing Committee. The oath-taking ceremony was held here at the Baacha Khan Markaz which was attended by the leaders of the ANP.

The provincial chapter of the ANP was dissolved by President Senator Asfandyar Wali Khan after receiving resignations from the party office bearers against the behaviour of the then provincial office bearers.

The Central Working Committee of ANP in its meeting on March 16 endorsed the decision of the party president about dissolution of the NWFP Chapter of the party.

Talking to newsmen after the oath-taking ceremony, Senator Asfandyar Wali Khan said all the dissident leaders and workers would be approached and brought back to the fold of the party.—APP
