Sri Lankan U-19 team due today

KARACHI, March 15: Sri Lankan under-19 cricket squad is due to arrive on Wednesday night on a 17-day tour to Pakistan.

During their stay in Pakistan, Sri Lankan teenagers will play two four-day Test matches against Pakistan juniors in Karachi and Multan besides three One-day Internationals (ODI).

Tourists will have their first training session at National Stadium on Thursday.

They opened their tour with four-day match at Quaid-i-Azam Park Steel Township ground from March 18.

The second youth Test will be played at Multan Stadium Multan from March 24 to 27 while the opening ODI will be played at the same ground on March 29. Second ODI will be played at Qadhafi Stadium Lahore on March 31 and the final day/night ODI will be played at National Stadium on April 2.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed former first class cricketer Mazhar Alam as the liaison officer of Sri Lankan under-19 team.—APP
