Governor for agri, music classes

BAHAWALPUR, March 15: Governor Khalid Maqbool has called for imparting agricultural education and introducing music classes at the Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB).

Addressing heads of departments and members of syndicate of the university here on Tuesday, he urged the faculty members to devote their energies for enlightening the lives of younger generation so that they could contribute actively to the country’s development.

Earlier, vice-chancellor Prof Dr. Munir Akhter informed that 11 development projects were under way in the university. Two sub-campuses of the university were also set up at Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. —APP
