Councillor killed in tribal clash

BADIN, Oct 28: A councillor of union council Khadro of taluka Tando Bago died and eleven others got injured, one of them seriously, in an armed clash between Gorgaij and Rustamani tribes near Khadro bus stop, 42 kilometres off here, on Saturday.

According to reports the clash took place over a property dispute between the two groups.

A few days back Gorgaijs had warned Rustamanis not to use the path which led through the village of Gorgaijs and the matter was settled.

However, on Saturday a quarrel took place in which arms were used freely, resulting in injuries to a dozen people identified as Niaz, Mehrab, Mushtaq, Ali Bukhsh, Ali Raza, Mohammad Ali, Irshad, Manzoor, Amir Bukhsh, Mukhtiar, Sharif and Nim. Mehrab Gorgaij, the councillor and few others were referred to Hyderabad.
