Adnan takes bowling honours

KARACHI, March 13: Slow left-armer Adnan Malik captured five for 69 to help SSGPL dismiss DFML for 240 in the first innings of their Patron’s Trophy Grade-II fixture at the PCB Regional Academy Ground on Sunday.

By close of first day’s play in the three-day tie, SSGPL reached 25 for no wicket.

DFML, put into bat, were indebted to Saman Khan for their respectable total. Salman, batting at No 6, finished with an unbeaten 77, including nine fours. Opener Naeemuddin weighed in with 62, also with nine boundaries.

Meanwhile, 16 wickets fell on the first day at the UBL Sports Complex. Pak PWD made 192, but hit back to have UBL struggling at 107 for six.
