DADU: Protest against SP

DADU, March 9: A large number of people, including activists of different political parties and councillors, took out a rally in the Mehar town on Wednesday , demanding registration of the murder case of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz vice chairman Samiullah Kalhoro against the SP investigation of Hyderabad and other officials of law enforcement agencies.

They were led by provincial secretary of Pakistan Human Rights Foundation Dr Abdul Haq Abbasi and district organiser Hafiz Mohammad Essa. Speaking on the occasion, leaders said that Samiullah Kalhoro was killed due to torture in the police custody.

They demanded registration of FIR of Samiullah Kalhoro's murder against the SP investigation of Hyderabad, Pir Farid Jan Sarhandi, and other officials of law enforcement agencies. On that occasion, three councillors of the Union Council of Mehar, Abdul Haq, Ms Nazi Brohi and Ms Naseem Junejo, resigned from their offices in protest.
