NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 9: The district and sessions judge on Wednesday ordered registration of an FIR against the SHO of Moro police station for wrongful confinement of a person.

Ms Husna, wife of Qadir Bux Soomro, has complained to the district and sessions judge of Naushahro Feroze that his son, Ayaz, was arrested by the Moro police and confined him in the police station without any charge.

On the directives of the district and sessions judge, the second judicial magistrate of Moro, Mr Zafarullah Solangi, raided the Moro police station and found that Mr Ayaz was kept in the police lockup without entry in the record book. Mr Ayaz was released and a report was submitted to the district and sessions judge.

On Wednesday, the SHO of Moro appeared in the court and submitted a report along with an FIR dated March 4, 2005, under section 457, 380 and 34 lodged against Mr Ayaz, mentioning time of arrest 15 minutes earlier the raid by the second judicial magistrate.

The district and sessions judge took a serious view of lodging a false FIR by the SHO of Moro before the raid by the magistrate and issued orders to the second judicial magistrate of Moro to lodge an FIR against Moro SHO Lal Bux Depar in the matter.

RICKSHAW, MOTORCYCLE HIJACKED: One motorcycle and a rickshaw were hijacked in two different incidents on Wednesday. Rahmatullah Rajpar was on his on Padidan-Bhirya road when three armed men hijacked his motorcycle and fled. In another incident, Mohammad Yousuf Pathan was deprived of rickshaw on Moro-Gachero road.
