KARACHI, March 7: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr Mohammad Ijazul Haq on Monday paid a detailed visit to Madressah Jamia Saeedia in Defence where a large number of boys and girls are getting religious and conventional education.

He expressed satisfaction over educational and administrative issues of the Madressah, said a handout. Later, the federal minister also visited the model Madressah established in Baitul Hujjaj and reviewed the educational and lodging arrangements, which are available to students.

He assured that steps would be taken at government level for development of the institution and resolution of its problems. Talking to newsmen at the Baitul Hujjaj here on Monday, the minister said that the government is planning to bring religious seminaries into mainstream by providing facilities of conventional education to their students.

The government is also taking measures for promotion of religious harmony and elimination of sectarianism from the society. He said government wants that model religious seminaries are run in a better way where students could be imparted conventional education as well. -APP
