PESHAWAR, March 1: A three-member delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement distributed cash and relief goods among rain-affected people of Lakki Marwat on Tuesday.

The team visited the rain-hit villages and distributed cash (Rs10,000 to Rs25,000) among the affected people.

Speaking at a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, they said the MQM chief Altaf Hussain had asked the party's coordination committee to distribute Rs20 million among people who needed immediate help in Balochistan, NWFP, Sindh and Punjab.

They said the Khidmat-i-Khalq Committee, MQM's welfare wing, had formed four teams for the purpose. One team headed by MNA Dr Mohammad Farooq Sattar went to Pishin, Qilla Abdullah and Quetta where it distributed cash and foodstuff.
